The Carolina Central Railroad Company rolled into town, forging a new era of development. The Marsh family played a pivotal role by generously donating land to support the community. Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Marsh provided land for churches, cemeteries, educational institutions, and much more.
Today, the town bears the name ‘Marshville’ as a tribute to the Marsh family’s enduring support, generosity, and kindness to the community.
